Stationary training

Diagnosis of PacDrive M servo systems

Course time: 2 days

The aim of the training is to acquire skills in PacDrive M system diagnostics. The participants of the training will be introduced to programs facilitating the diagnostics of PacDrive devices - Diagnostics, Backup, Firmware Assistant. During the training, it will be shown, among other things, how to back up the system (so-called Backup), read diagnostic data, and change the firmware version of PacDrive M system devices.

Scope of training

  • Technical description of the servo drives: nomenclature, internal structure, operating principle, cabling
  • Connection of the controller to a PC (PacDrive Netmanage)
  • Downloading, uploading and initial start-up of a sample program (EPAS4)
  • LCD and LED diagnostics - exercises
  • PC-based diagnostics (PacDrive Diagnostics) - exercises
  • EPAS4 software - uploading and running a programme, changing parameters, viewing the programme, editing the programme, debugging
  • Diagnosis using EPAS4 - exercises
  • Error codes
  • Procedures for replacing faulty components
  • Details of the role of proper cabling to avoid electromagnetic interference (EMC)
  • Program and configuration backup (PacDrive Backup)
  • Changing firmware on MC-4 servo drives and C600, C400, C200 controllers (PacDrive Firmware Assistant)

Requirements for participants:

  • Knowledge of PC and Windows
  • PLC programming basics
  • Basics of electrical drive
  • Basic knowledge of English
